Privacy Policy — WAEC LMS Student

WAEC LMS Student (“the App”) is developed by Cj-Tech for use by students of participating schools to access exam practice, timetables, results, and messaging with their teachers and school administrators. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. Information We Collect

When you register or use the App, we collect:

• Identity information: full name, email address, phone number, and your school's ID/name.
• Academic data: exam and practice test answers, scores, timetable and subject registration records.
• Messages: the content of messages you send to or receive from teachers and school administrators within the App.
• Device/session data: login tokens used to keep you signed in, and basic connectivity status used to sync your data when you're back online.

We do not collect camera, microphone, contacts, or precise location data — the App does not request or use these permissions.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and keep you signed in across sessions.
• To deliver exam/practice content, timetables, and results relevant to you and your school.
• To enable messaging between students, teachers, and school administrators.
• To let your school's staff view your academic performance and manage your enrollment.
• To improve reliability of the App, including caching data locally so it keeps working with a poor or no internet connection, then syncing once you're back online.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is transmitted to our servers over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored in a secured cloud database. Login credentials are never stored in plain text. Some data (such as your timetable, downloaded practice questions, and pending messages) is cached locally on your device solely so the App can function while offline, and is synced back to our servers once your connection is restored.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your academic data and messages are visible only to your school's authorized teachers and administrators, and to you. We do not share your information with advertisers.

5. Data Retention

Your information is retained for as long as your school maintains an active account with WAEC LMS. If you would like your data removed, contact us using the details below, or ask your school administrator to submit a removal request on your behalf.

6. Children's Privacy

This App is designed for use by secondary school students, who may be minors. We only collect the information described above, which is provided by the student (or on their behalf by their school) for the specific purpose of accessing school-provided educational content. We do not use this information for advertising or sell it to third parties.

7. Requesting Account or Data Deletion

You may request that we delete your account and personal data, or only specific data, at any time. To do this, send an email to waeclms@gmail.com from the same email address you used to register in the App. In your email, please include:

• Your full name
• Your School ID
• Whether you want your entire account and personal data deleted, or only specific data deleted (please specify exactly what — for example, messages, or specific test/exam results)

For your security, never include your password in this email — we will never ask for it, and do not need it to verify or process your request. We verify requests using your registered email address, full name, and School ID. We will confirm by email once your request has been processed. Note: your school administrator may still retain academic records required for your school's own record-keeping, separate from your personal account with us.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email below. Your school administrator can also assist with account-related requests.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
