Privacy Policy — WAEC LMS Teacher

WAEC LMS Teacher (“the App”) is developed by Cj-Tech for use by teachers at participating schools to manage class timetables, enter and publish student scores, review theory submissions, and message students and school administrators. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. Information We Collect

When you register or use the App, we collect:

• Identity information: your full name, email address, phone number, and your school's ID/name.
• Professional data: the subjects and classes you are assigned to teach.
• Student academic data you manage: as part of your teaching duties, the App gives you access to your students' scores, timetables, subject-registration status, and theory submissions for the classes/subjects assigned to you.
• Messages: the content of messages you send to or receive from students and school administrators within the App.
• Device/session data: login tokens used to keep you signed in, and basic connectivity status used to sync your data when you're back online.

We do not collect camera, microphone, contacts, or precise location data — the App does not request or use these permissions.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and keep you signed in across sessions.
• To let you view and manage timetables, scores, and submissions for the classes/subjects your school has assigned to you.
• To enable messaging between you, your students, and school administrators.
• To improve reliability of the App, including caching data locally so it keeps working with a poor or no internet connection, then syncing once you're back online.

3. Access to Student Data

As a teacher, the App grants you access to academic data belonging to the students in your assigned classes/subjects — this is a core function of the App, not incidental data collection. This access is scoped by your school to only the classes and subjects you are assigned, and is provided so you can carry out your normal teaching duties (recording scores, reviewing submissions, managing timetables). Student data accessed through the App must only be used for legitimate teaching and school-administration purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is transmitted to our servers over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored in a secured cloud database. Login credentials are never stored in plain text. Some data (such as your timetable, class settings, and pending messages or score submissions) is cached locally on your device solely so the App can function while offline, and is synced back to our servers once your connection is restored.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information, or your students' information, to third parties. Data is visible only to authorized staff at your school and to the relevant students, as appropriate to each person's role. We do not share information with advertisers.

6. Data Retention

Your information is retained for as long as your school maintains an active account with WAEC LMS. If you would like your data removed, contact us using the details below, or ask your school administrator to submit a removal request on your behalf.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email below. Your school administrator can also assist with account-related requests.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
